Why Should The Hydraulic Tensioner Be Exhausted?

When it comes to hydraulic tensioners, they are basically old models. Such as; Audi Volkswagen 1.8T, Mitsubishi engine 4G64/64, etc. However, the old models also have new problems.

Some customers reacted, and when Xiao Zi was pulled out, the ejector pin was soft. Even the repairman started the engine without checking whether the ejector rod was lifted up, resulting in an accident.

Why is the ejector soft? The problem with exhausting the tensioner itself is that the tensioner does not exhaust.

There is hydraulic oil in the hydraulic tensioner, and the placement requirement is that the ejector rod faces upward. However, if it cannot be done, it is difficult to ensure that the ejector rod faces upwards during transportation. Then, the hydraulic oil will slowly stay from the lower cavity to the upper cavity, and air will be in the lower cavity. Air can be compressed, so when the tensioner is installed on the engine, the ejector rod can be compressed. That is, the "soft" and "boring" responses that everyone responded.

How to eliminate it? After loading the car, repeatedly compress the ejector rod until the ejector rod is pushed up "strongly". Manually turn the crankshaft 2 turns to confirm that the timing correction is correct, and the belt is tightened before starting the engine.

If the ejector pin is compressed repeatedly, the ejector pin is still soft, do not start, remove it. Return to the factory for processing.
