Why Does The Tensioner Have Abnormal Noise?
The tensioner also has a lifespan, and there are three reasons for the noise of the tensioner on the old car:
1. The torsion spring is out of order. Under normal circumstances, the force of the spring is so great that it cannot be twisted by hand. If you can twist it easily, it is broken. Once the spring cannot provide enough tension, the belt will vibrate and generate noise.
2. The bearing of the tensioner is deformed. When the tensioner is working, it rotates at a high speed. If the bearing is deformed or the grease leaks, the wheel will vibrate at a high frequency, causing abnormal noise.
3. The belt has lost its elasticity. The belt is made of rubber and has a life limit just like a tire. After a long time, the belt becomes hard and brittle, and the movement will not be so smooth, so the tensioner is vibrated, which is also one of the reasons for the noise.
No matter what the reason, the tensioner and belt are replaced at the same time
