Replace Timing Belt And Tensioner
1. Check and replace the timing belt
Synchronous belt inspection
(1) Disconnect the negative cable of the battery first, and then disconnect the positive cable of the battery.
(2) Disconnect the wire plug of the alternator, then remove the engine harness from the cylinder head, and then remove the cylinder head cover.
(3) Remove the timing belt cover.
(4) Turn the crankshaft pulley counterclockwise to check whether the belt is cracked or stained with organic oil or coolant. If there is, it should be completely deleted; if it is serious, the timing belt should be replaced. Check whether the tooth profile of the timing belt is worn out, and replace it if necessary.
2. Tension adjustment
(1) Rotate the crankshaft 5 to 6 times to adjust the preload.
(2) Place the first cylinder piston at the top dead center of the compression stroke.
