How To Adjust Timing Belt Tensioner Strength
A bolt, the tensioner has a position to be stuck on the oil pump, and then the screw does not need to be tightened first, the marks are aligned, the timing belt is installed in the counterclockwise direction from the crankshaft wheel.
Prepare the hexagonal tool and the timing tensioning screw tool.
First, use a hexagon to turn the timing tensioner counterclockwise. At this time, the pointer on the hundred tensioner swings and tighten the bolt when the swing exceeds the V-shaped mark on the tensioner. Be careful not to overdo it too much.
Second, turn the crankshaft 2 turns clockwise, and the marks should be aligned. Then use the hex tool to tighten the tensioner. At this time, loosen the tensioner bolt and turn the hex tool to align the tensioner pointer with the V mark on the tensioner (normally clockwise). Tighten the tensioner bolts. The adjustment is complete.
